The core business is the production of high-quality food and luxury goods. THe subsidiari Metroplan planed the logistic expansion for is part of the group and handles the distribution and logistics of all products.
Our clients distribution center has been operational since 1996, facilitating the handling of high-quality food and luxury goods for the retail sector. With the company's continued growth, a decision was made to invest in new, fully automated logistics technology and expand the existing site accordingly.
Metroplan was tasked with the general planning of this project, starting with a comprehensive clarification of tasks based on the client's specifications and requirements. As part of the consultation and alternative analysis, different logistics and building concepts were developed to find the optimal solution for the site expansion. From concept, design, and permitting planning (LPH 1-4) to execution planning, preparation, and support for tendering (LPH 5-7), Metroplan advanced the project at every stage.
One of our core tasks was construction supervision (LPH 8) and comprehensive coordination of all project partners involved. Metroplan managed project supervision and the interface between construction and logistics, monitored execution quality, and ensured smooth coordination. Timely scheduling and tracking, as well as careful cost estimation, planning, and tracking, were essential to ensuring the success of the site expansion.
