The client is a globally leading technology company specializing in innovative semiconductor solutions. These are applied in fields such as energy efficiency, mobility, and security. The company focuses on integrating renewable energy into industrial and commercial applications to promote sustainable energy generation and usage.
The client owns a large site with various roof and open spaces suitable for photovoltaic systems. The challenge was to identify the optimal area for the PV system. To achieve maximum energy generation efficiency, a detailed analysis and comparison of the suitability of the available roof and open spaces were required.
The project began with on-site inspections and a comprehensive site analysis to evaluate the suitability of the roof and open spaces for the installation of the PV system. This was followed by economic calculations that considered self-consumption and energy generation potential, a grid compatibility check, an evaluation of building regulations, and preparation for the permitting processes. The goal was to identify the technically and economically optimal solution between roof and open spaces and lay the groundwork for implementation.
