Systematically solving performance problems
In the case of existing plants, which are subject to a dynamically changing environment, performance targets may not or no longer be achieved. With our Phenomena Analysis, we support you in identifying and understanding the mechanisms and factors behind this. Based on this, suitable measures can be developed and realized to help your system achieve the desired performance.
We proceed in four steps:
- The bottlenecks that have already been identified or recognized in a detailed on-site analysis are specifically defined in workshops, their effects on the key figures are determined and the possible causes are systematically recorded.
- This is followed by verification - a more detailed analysis of the causes up to the point at which the core causes have been identified.
- This detailed basis is used to derive specific individual measures. These are then combined into prioritized optimization packages.
- This is followed by the detailed planning of the individual measures, their implementation and success control.
Finding suitable measures with a utility analysis
We use a utility analysis to identify and evaluate the measures that are suitable for optimization. It is often not the complex technical adaptations and modernizations, but the smaller organizational measures and simple extensions to the IT systems that are manageable in terms of time and money that offer the best balance between cost and benefit.
With an experienced view from the outside, we help you to recognise and exploit these low hanging fruits in logistics optimization. If major adjustments and modernization of the technical equipment and IT systems are necessary, we look for suitable suppliers and support the implementation with clear specifications and careful monitoring.
Continuous performance monitoring
The long-term success of a logistics plant depends on whether the processes are subject to continuous, systematic monitoring. Our experience shows that the framework conditions and requirements can change so quickly that considerable deviations from the original planning basis can already occur during the ramp-up phase.
Closing gaps between logistics controlling and planning projects

Business Process Re-Engineering
With comprehensive business process optimization that goes far beyond individual measures, we support you in implementing uniform, efficient processes across departments and locations at all sites, central warehouses and production sites. This makes the business more scalable, reduces storage and transport costs and increases transparency and planning reliability while maintaining the same personnel effort.
To this end, we define the core and support processes along procurement, plant, distribution and spare parts logistics, analyse them taking into account the IT systems used and compare them with best-practice solutions.
