Development of a Future-Oriented Utilization Concept and Relocation Coordination During Parallel Operations

As a family-owned freight forwarding company, Walter Schmitt offers comprehensive warehousing and transport solutions for customers across various industries. Ensuring stable supply chains is the company's daily challenge. This makes the task of executing a relocation during parallel operations with sensitive logistical processes even more demanding.

In close collaboration with Walter Schmitt's team, we first developed a future-oriented utilization concept, defined the associated functional, procedural, and structural requirements, and coordinated all measures with the involved partners to ensure successful implementation. Despite the challenging schedule and temporary parallel operations at the old and new facilities, all deliveries for a renowned commercial vehicle manufacturer were provided in the planned sequence, ensuring the supply chain was never disrupted.

The success of the project is primarily characterized by the early development of an implementation roadmap, close interaction between all stakeholders throughout the project, and efficient time management. The utilization concept now implemented in the new logistics facility provides an optimal foundation for the strategic orientation of Walter Schmitt's new site.
