Stabilization of Product Quality and Enhancement of Process Efficiency

Our customer is a leading company in the life sciences industry, producing consumables and capital goods for various medical applications. At their site, the company manufactures high-performance devices and faced an increasing occurence of field failures.

In the first step, we conducted a structured root cause analysis and categorized the findings. This categorization enabled us to define and implement targeted quality gates within the process. Product-specific defect catalogs and structured shopfloor management frameworks were sustainably integrated into daily operations as supportive tools. Additionally, we collaborated with the involved employees to develop smart KPIs and gradually build structured problem-solving competencies.

After successfully stabilizing product quality, our project focus gradually shifted toward efficiency improvement. By transitioning assembly to a line-based principle, we eliminated waste and significantly increased process efficiency. The newly aligned assembly was integrated into a comprehensive layout adhering to the principle of material flow orientation.
