Digitalization and Automation of Procurement Processes with E-Procurement
Our client, a leading German pharmaceutical supplier, successfully digitalized and optimized its strategic and operational procurement processes through the implementation of a modern e-procurement solution. The key challenge lay in integrating the specific requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, as well as embedding SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and PS (Project System) processes into the new system.
In close collaboration with the relevant departments, existing processes were analyzed, and opportunities for digitalization were identified. Based on this, a tailored strategy was developed for the implementation of the all-in-one procurement solution, customized to meet the company's specific needs.
Despite the complexity of the requirements, the implementation was completed successfully and on schedule. Key focuses included optimizing structures, processes, and master data, as well as consolidating suppliers and product categories. Furthermore, significant cost optimization was achieved through custom catalog integrations and streamlined tender processes.
